PHEW! What a summer! It has been incredibly hot where I am for the last week or so (100 and above) on a daily basis. Even with the air on the house seems sweltering hot. I love living in the middle of the US, but there are times I just want to get away. So in three days time (August 27th) I will be boarding the plane with my wonderful husband Cedric and my 15 year old daughter to head to Florida for a week. We have lots of plans of sun and fun. Not very long ago, Kay Weston rolled out "The Journey Begins" pose set. I was very excited about these poses so I kind of tucked them into my inventory with the thought of doing a setting that would benefit them as well as they were also fitting for our upcoming trip.

So here's the deal, I held onto these a little long. These poses were created for Summer Bash that ended August 25th so if you want them,  you have to wait til the end of the week when they'll be in the store. Either way you'll win, but you'll lose out on the Summer Bash so whatcha waitin for?

I love how my husband Cedric captured this picture. I feel free. I turned another day older on August 25th, and this pose just reminds me that no matter how old I get, I can still enjoy the simple things in life. I am so looking forward to our trip that I wish I could jump on our luggage and fly through the airport like this hollaring FREE! I'm FREE! lol, but I sometimes don't know how to let my hair down in real life and just "be" so I can do it on Second Life and celebrate with the awesome poses that designer Kay Weston (and others) that I use often.

Even my wooden boyfriend is excited! I do hope though that our flight goes safely and doesn't have the side blow out like this plane in the background does. Im' not a big person on flying.

So I couldn't end my post without talking about this beautiful outfit by 2 Chez. This complete outfit is called Shelby Bronze. It comes with everything you see, beautiful dress, sandals that fit slink high feet, bracelet and necklace. 

The earrings are by Earthstones called "LOVED" . One of my beautiful sisters Kat Dollinger gave Cedric and I a gift card to Earthstones for our wedding and these were one of the things that I picked up. Though she's not longer His submissive, she is still in our hearts. (Miss you sweetie!)

I wanna talk about me!

Not very often do I talk about just *me*. I talk about others, I talk about my family and friends sometimes. I talk about the things that I do on SL, and sometimes I'll add bits and pieces about "me" but never do I come right out and Talk about me.. But today.. It's ALL ABOUT ME!

And who perfect to help you know the mood I am in than Toby Keith with the song Lets talk about me.

While I'm talking about me, I'm going to show you some random new outfits by 2 Chez and some great poses by Kay Weston of Image Essentials called Hoola Hoopin available at Summer Bash until August 25th.

Disclaimer: I started this blog on 8/15 when I was in a happy place, as I edit my pictures and add them, I see that I am leaning in a dark/grunge style because of the mood I am in. I'm feeling in a very dark lost place and so that will the reflection of my post today.

So one thing you won't see popping up in my blog anymore after this post is the daughter that was in our life for a short time. I'm not going to name her because it really doesn't matter. Just know she's not in our life anymore, she's moved onto another family and I hope she finds happiness and joy, and I hope they have enough time, lindens and patience to make that happen.

But what I am going to talk about is those people that come into your SL, shake up your world, sneak into your heart and then use you. They are the the ones who do it with stealth. You don't see it coming because you know you're smarter then that! And then bam, you get hurt. You invest your time and energy and they just suck you dry. I keep telling myself to not wear my heart on my sleeve, to make them work harder but frankly, I'm just tired of it all. I want to go to clubs and hang out and have gal friends to blog with, shop with etc. I want to go to dance, and have a family of friends that I know i can count on. I have a huge friends list, but there are probably only 10 of the almost 200 that I actually speak to on a daily basis. A majority of them are bloggers that work for MOoH, some are creators that I've gotten to know via being a manager. People like that that I wouldn't trade for the world, but I wouldn't say we 'hang out.' There are a few that I've gotten to know that I would love to know better and it'll happen with time I am sure. Then there are those on my friends list who promise to spend time with you but never do. After awhile you just kinda get tired of reaching out before the "I'm busy" gets to be to much. OR The only time they ever message you is when they've been hurt, or they've been used, or you know those that always want to use your shoulder but when you're hurting they're "busy". It's people like this that make me wonder why I even bother trying.

Then you have those people on your friends list and you can't remember why they're there, lol. I have a few of those. Kind of afraid to delete them because they might be there for a reason, or they may not be but you just never know. And on that note, you have those people you add because they've touched your life for a moment but you don't want to lose their names, they're not people that you're friends with persay but they've impacted you. (Like for example I have a doctor and a nurse on my friends list that are totally awesome people and if I ever have prim babies again in SL, they'll be my go to's. So they're not people I want to lose off my friends list because they're totally adorable and wonderful gals. We just walk in different circles I suppose.)

I know that people come and go in Second Life, they touch your life for a moment, or they touch your life for a long time. I am blessed by each of these moments. Even the daughters that are no more. Just because they've gone on to different things, I still care, I still worry, I still often wonder how they're doing. I think what saddens me most is the friendships that were there that are no more. Just because they've moved on doesn't mean I hold a grudge. (okay in some cases I kind of do. I'm kind of upset about a few things called communication that wasn't happening but ah well, I'll get over it, I always do.)  It's just sad how you can go from a loving family to not even speaking. To me that family dynamic really never goes away it just maybe shifts in different directions. It ebbs and flows. I saw a quote not to long ago about families "Family isn't always blood. It's the people in your life who want you in theirs; the ones who accept you for who you are. The ones who would do anything to see you smile and who LOVE you no matter what." and "No family is perfect.. we argue, we fight. We even stop talking to each other at times, but in the end, family is family.. the love will always be there." And I think at the bottom of it all that's what hurts that no matter what, in the end family sticks together. No matter how upset I get, I want a family that's going to be the through the good times and the bad.

So my last final thought of the day is this which is kind of going to be my new mantra because I will never talk about the daughter that was or the daughters that were or the friends that have come and left without a trace. Or those that just left for some reason without talking to me. "Forgiving people who have hurt you is your gift to them. Forgetting people who have hurt you is your gift to you." So today, my gift to myself is to begin the process of forgiving and letting go and to forget. I won't forget the lessons I have learned, but I will forget the person and the pain they have caused. The tears that I have shed in real life because they did matter to me. These tears will just be the pathway to new things, and new journeys, new friendships and new doorways. And be thankful that on this road that I didn't hurt friendships that were already established that could have been destroyed.

First up Charis, this outfit comes with a very sexy futuristic top with some leather pants and sandals that fit high slink feet. I love the top because it looks like one of those tests where you pour paint into a piece of paper, fold it and then you try to determine what's on it. I look at the shirt and see dragon wings or butterfly wings. What do you see?! And the price is awesome!!!

So of course, I have to talk about my nails! I can't dress without having -{ZOZ}- polishes on. This polish comes from District 5 event information: August 13th (opening day) - Sept 4th (closing day). The name of this polish is called Painted Sky *Scene* which to me is gothic meeting whimsical. I totally love the edgy cuteness to the polish.

Lets talk about poses. We all know next to shoes, hair and gowns that I am an absolute pose junky. I knew I wanted something urban when I saw this outfit by 2 Chez so I knew Image Essentials was the place I wanted to go. It just happens that for group members there's an AUGUST contest going on. I mostly went to check out the area to see what I could come up with. I'm not sure I'll submit any to the contest, but I couldn't resist posing next to this Motel sign. Just seemed *right* for some reason. The poses I am using throughout this blog post are by   Allу Dωуєя-Ƥιєяѕ (AllysonDwyer) creator of Something New Poses and Props. Now if you love poses like I do, you probably have some of her poses in your inventory. She's amazing and she's also on the same sim as Image Essentials. She's not only talented, but she's beautiful and NICE! as well. I know she's helped me out a couple of times so I always love when I can show off her poses too.

Hitting the beach

Aloha! 

I was so excited to hear about The Aloha Fair and all the greatness that came from this fair. This fair just made me SUPER ready for my Florida vacation at the end of the month but more on that later!

 Today I hit the beach at a m o r o u s  to take these pictures. So I'm working with poses from Image Essentials called Luau, I'm also wearing the IE - Luau Lei (White). My outfit is by MOoH! it's the MOoH! Blue leopard beach set. (Love my kittys!) my belly jewel is by Pomposity and it's a Dolphin piercing. All of these can be found at The Aloha Fair.

 I love these poses by Kay Weston of Image Essentials. I felt like a mermaid playing.

 The poses I am using are all by Image Essentials part of her Luau pack for The Aloha Fair, there are 8 poses and mirror poses too.

 The hair I am wearing is by .ploom that you can now find at the We <3 Roleplay. Lots of wonderful joys to be found there. I just wish I would have had more Linden to spend there. But I totally adore this hair and it went perfect with the sarong set by MOoH! it just FIT!

 My nail polish is -{ZOZ}- Shimmer Basics French Polish @ Designer Showcase July 30nd - Aug 29th, these come in several different amazing colors. I am always impressed by ZOZ and the deepness and richness she puts in every color. I rarely wear any other polish now but hers. It's just another layer of me.

 The Lei I'm wearing is also by Image Essentials,  Mesh Lei 9 colours

 I wanted to bounce up and down when I got my blogger box from .ploom. This hair was perfect!!!! yes perfect!!! for this outing! So sometimes it pays to procrastinate! You can get this great hair called KOY at the WE <3 Roleplay that August 6th. I love how things just come together sometimes!!!

If anyone knows Kay Weston, they know that every time she makes poses she brings in this substitute dummy. I'll call him my Posing Doll lol. So this is called "Getting Lei'd" My Posing Doll has shown up a couple of times in my blog because he makes me smile too! I like how I'm gently touching his hand as he puts my lei on me.
