~In Loving Remembrance: Once Upon a Cure

On April 9th the Family Fair began. Celebrating coming together to FIGHT for the CURE to Cancer. Cancer has touched us all in one way or another. We've either beaten it, we've known someone who's beaten it, we know someone who is fighting it, or we know someone who's fought it and lost the battled.

I relay for my Dad, John. He was an amazing dad. NOT one day goes by that he's not missed or in my thoughts.

Tree of Life

At the Family fun fair you can buy a balloon and hang it in the remembrance area of the fair. It's rather neat you can personalize it, then hang it on the Tree of Life. There are several already but come on down and put your own up. Lets fill this TREE OF LIFE! All proceeds to the balloon go to The American Cancer Society.

These are just two of the many balloons on the tree, I liked this one for all fighting, I fight with you. I don't know who's balloon it is, but I thought it was memorable.

This is my friend Corrbin who is posing with me, she and I have been through ALOT in the 4 years that we've known each other. I won't drag that drama up lol but once we got over the hurt, we became good friends. Neither of us are perfect, far from it, but the thing I like about her is that she's real. She's somebody important to me. She tells me like it is, she doesn't sugar coat it and though it can be hurtful sometimes but at times it's what a good friend does. Gives you that swift kick in the arse that you need. 

The pose is only available at Collabor88 but it ends tomorrow! Then it'll be in the !bang main store, it's called Hidden Magic. I think it's an appropriate name because friendships can be magical. The top is by Kaithleen, called Denim Bustier, and it's wonderful because you can buy it by itself or you can by the fat pack that is hudded and you can get all the amazing colors for a really reasonable priced.

At the beginning ... it all starts with a hello, and a friendship. I've been so lax on my blogging lately. Seems the last year has really thrown my family some curve balls. From having surgery, going back to work. My son finally got the dog he's wanted for years to only have it get spooked and take off. After hours of seraching, strangers searching via social media he was brought home the following morning with a very sad ending. My son was devestated. Two weeks later my daughter was in a car accident, thankfully she's okay.. the car.. sadly not so much. And now we wait as my childrens dad makes the hard decision to put to rest their dog they've had since my oldest was 7. What a few months. Phew. But blogging is what I love and I'm passionate about it, so sometimes I don't blog because I don't want to throw together a half assed post or half assed pictures.

Lets talk about what I'm bringing to you today. In the top picture I want to show off the stunning new makeup by La Boheme. Santana is going to be bringing us mesh appliers soon for lips and eyes, but I've still not convinced myself I love my mesh head, maybe I'll patiently wait for her updates. Until then I'll keep loving her makeup for the regular sl avatar. Stunning! You'll be able to find these makeups at Skin Fair coming soon. My poses you'll find by !bang and they're at We <3 Roleplay.

There are 10 different poses with this pose pack AND mirror poses. I love how they are fierce yet sexy! :) My shirt is by Kathleen and it's only available for a few more rounds at the Cosmopolitan room. I always find such sassy sales there.

My hair is Opal by Doe, new at C88, isn't it adorable? I love the updo, it's elegant yet playful, the long length's at the front curling up in the back. Just love it.

I can't get away from Dark Passions Nails sometimes, I'm an addict to nail polishes but find I only wear La Boheme or Dark Passions and not because they're my sponsors but because I LOVE THEM. :) Right now BCreative is participating in 20Twenty where you can get discounted items around the grid which I think is awesome, I love some of the other events, but I love being able to go to a creators store and shop around. I wish more events would start doing this. This set is called Musette's Manus II, I'm only showing you SOME of the colors that are offered, but really these are awesome, I love the flipped colors, soft and edgy at the same time.  Perching on my rock, I waited, I was longing. Needing him. My song called to him, beckoning him across the ocean wanting to be his siren.

Glitzz put out this special gift called Sugarlicious. Feathers, breast covers, panties, and a head piece very lovely pastel colors to brighten your day. I combined my look with hair from Ayashi, then had Cedric put out a rock for me to sit on. I wanted to be lost at sea with my contemplation of seduction.

My poses are by !bang called Ledge Sits, which you can find at Shiny Shabby.They're very charming which draw you in and want to sit and have a chat, or in my case seduce. I've been toying with poses where I'm sitting instead of standing so these were fun to work with.

When I started getting ready for this post, I wasn't sure what I wanted, or where it was going to go. I slipped into the Chloe outfit by MOoH several days ago, I've rotated through the colors (pink, black, chamomile, lilac gray and white) and I kept going back to the pink. So I took pictures but none really settled with me so a day or two went by and today I was like I HAVE got to blog this, not because I HAD to but because I really wanted too. I used to blog on a regular basis for MOoH and had the pleasure of being her blog manager but more importantly her friend. It was like going home. So I kept thinking "Feels like home by Chantal Kravits" but when I listened to the song it was like meh.. even that doesn't fit. I'm so literal sometimes when it comes to my blogging. 

For me sometimes my blog kind of takes it's own direction when it comes to pictures and what I wind up doing. I was going through poses and found this pose by Picture This called "Raining Roses" and was like oooh that's pretty and Cedric was like "You need a sakura tree" so the pictures began to transform, and the hunt for song inspiration began. I happen to love Mindy Gledhill, her music just is sweet, and touching. When I listened to the song "Take Flight" I knew I had my inspiration and that it went so well wtih what pictures had begun to transpire. The first picture reminds me of setting petals to the wind and talking to my dad or someone from my past of knowing some day we'll see each other on the other side. That my thoughts though sometimes are here and there, that when they take flight they find them, whoever it is. Someone from now, someone from my past or even someone from my future. 

Feeling kind of nostalgic today, thinking about the past, and where I've come. I've come a long way but still have a long way to go. It's the simple things in life like petals dancing in the wind that make me smile and enjoy just being "me". 

So when I get nostalgic like that, and when life gets really stressful, I just want to be with my best friend, leaning on him, and not worrying about anything. He's my rock, my strength and sometimes the only thing that can keep me grounded. 

With We <3 roleplay opening today, i eagerly ripped itno my La Boheme blogger boxes and oh man let me tell you it was hard to pick what make up I wanted to wear! Details are below but let me tell you YOU will NOT be disappointed. :) And finally I painted my nails with Dark Passions polish called WERK though it wasn't werk at all to paint my nails. :) Such pretty stunning colors.

I LOVE the sound of a good motorcycle. I have to admit that I'm a Harley girl. I don't like to get on them though, but I admire them and the power behind them. When I was 15 I lost a very good friend to a horrible accident. It made me respect and fear motorcycles. I was probably in my late 20's when someone finally talk me on to riding on the back of his bike. I pouted, I stomped my feet, I cried but finally I knew that my friend would want me over my fear so I bravely put my helmet on, swung my leg over, and settled in. I clung. Thankfully, the friend took it slow, he drove me around the parking lot first let me get the feel of the bike, when I got a little more comfortable he hit the road. Oh lord it was free'ing. Was so much fun. Then later on I dated someone who had a bike who made me fear them again.. Meh. :) I still respect them though, and still admire them, I just don't want to be on one.

But on Second Life?! I can ride them without fear or inhibitions. This pose was a new release for Jan Pose Lover event, but I've been abit lax in my blogging and getting things done. Trying to adjust to a new job as well as other things. This pose is devine, makes me feel like I could conquer the world and be sexy while doing it. I knew when I got this pose then saw the Lapointe jacket at Project limited that I wanted to blog this. I love these types of jackets and can't get away with wearing stuff like this in real life so here we are! Second Life finds. :) The jacket has a texture changing tshirt under it so you can change the tshirt, you can also make the jacket just straight black too if you want.

And of course, I had to head over to Genre and get this new polish by Dark Passions called "The Prowl." It's jungle and my pictures do not do these pretties justice. I love the bright colorful colors. Makes me feel wild and free.

Something I struggle with in real life is my self esteem. I think that's one thing that I've enjoyed about second life is it's helped me become more positive about myself. I know that my body will never look like my SL avatar, and I'll never have beauitful blonde locks but what is important to me is that people get to know ME, the person inside that I am. That's how I met and fell in love with Cedric, we feel in love with each other, we had to work at our relationship because we didn't always have that daily touch physically in real life. We just had our words and our emotes in SL. We're together now and it's amazing. His touch still sets me on fire. I decided to slip into Alva which is the VIP gropu gift at Glitzz. I love how well her appliers fit, they match up so perfectly and the texturing is amazing. It helped me set up a sexy look for Cedric when I wanted to get his attention. 

The pose is called Next to you by !bang, this is available at ROMP and though it's not an exclusive it was a must have for my pose collection. I feel so safe when I'm in His arms, safe, beautiful, desired. I just want him to devour me with his eyes, his touch... 

Of course no outfit can be complete without the perfect polish and shoe. I decided to wander over to Oh My gacha and hit the Essenz shoe gacha. 75L per play which I think is pretty awesome for shoes. :) Especially when you're a greedy shoe whore like me. So many beautiful colors. Then I stopped in awe at Dark Passions gacha. SO many glorious new nails.. Squee! The set I'm wearing is the rare pastel pretties. Each common comes with three choices tartan and to spring colors. There are 2 rares. Each 50L per play and there's a total of 10 to collect. Just make sure you pick the right machine one is for slink and one is for Maitreya which I think is awesome you can buy what you need and not get a bunch of what you don't need. It's been a crazzzzy few weeks. I finally got out of training for my new job and my hours flipped opposite of what Cedric's are, then on top of that we had the holidays. I have let so many people down over the last few months due to the fact that I'm not used to working. Cedric is always there for me, always has my back and I haven't been the best to Him. I've pushed Him away and those that trusted us. I've hurt a few people and that pains me greatly. But sometimes things just happen that are out of our control. With the upcoming weather I decided to take the day off to have a much needed "me" day. Since I stayed home, I wanted to slip into something a little naughty and a lot sexy so when Cedric got home I could meet Him at the door. I think he liked it as He pushed me against the glass of  His cabin and just drank me in. I was warmed by His love and His glance.

~Merry & Bright~

Hello Loverlies,

This time of year makes me so thankful for my family and my friends. This is our 9th Christmas without my dad so as the holiday fast approaches I think back and remember my memories of him, and the new ones that I have made with my SL Family. WOW. this year has been such a gambit of emotions from happy to sad to happy again, I'm thankful to all those who have shown me the true meaning of family and friendship. So to you, this holiday season may it be Merry & Bright!!!!

The last few months have been an emotional roller coaster. I realize how lucky I am, how blessed to have those around me. I hope they know how much they mean to me, and how often that without their love and their support I would have walked away. Also, I hope those that I have unintentionally hurt know that I never meant to hurt you, and that I am sorry for that. I've decided for my first New Years Resolution I'm going to work on being a better person, a better friend. I'm going to try and stay Merry & Bright, and I'm going to try to be the kind of friend I want my friends to be to me.

As I count my blessings, and am reminded of those that are in my life, blessed. I wanted to go home to my original sponsor. 2 Chez was one of the very first people I approached regarding blogging her items and I feel bad as it's been a long time since I have blogged for Gigi. She does amazing textures, and I love that she's also starting to create more for he maitreya body though I never had issues before, but it is still awesome to watch my sponsors grow and branch out. I can honestly say I'm proud of all my sponsors. Some I have become good friends with, and some I do what I need to do, (hopefully more sometimes!) and get the job done. There are so many words that I wish I could say, sometimes I have them, sometimes they just fail me. Blogging helps express myself sometimes, and other times I get locked up in what is in my head and what I want and need to do. Today, I slipped into this warm turtleneck sweater by Kaithleens that you can find at Winter Trend until the 18th of Dec. Then snuggled into my guy because it was COLD! Catch me! which I found appropriate because sometimes I feel like I have been falling, falling falling, yet Cedric is always there to support me, pick me up, brush me off and tell me that it's going to be okay. ~I needed to kneel because I wanted to, because I was inspired too not because it was required. It was a deep ache within me. Kneel, show my submission. Show Him that I needed and loved Him. Lately though I haven't felt that need, that hunger, that inspiration and I know that it's something I need to refind. So I slid into this new body suit by Glittz. I slide my legs into the lacy, slowly pulling it up my body. Feeling it encase me. I took a deep breath, my eyes closed and I knew.. I knew , and I knew I wanted to kneel again. I felt elegant yet sexy. It plays hide and seek with your senses leaving you wanting, needing more. I continued pulling it up blushing abit as I saw myself in my bedroom mirror and could see part of my bottom, then slide my arms into the sleeves fitting it to the rest of my body. I was in love.. and I knew that Cedric would be pleased when He came home. 

So, as I waited, I sat in front of my mirror to apply my red lipstick because I feel every naughty girl needs to have red lipsticks, then a very carefully applied a heart to them wanting to express my heartfelt gratitude on how he makes me feel. (Okay cheesy I know even for me.) Then I painted my nails wanting to look pretty for Him. The lipstick was easy to do with La Boheme's help and my nail polish was done by Dark Passions. Many color choices to the lipstick and below are your color choices for the nail polish. Snowflakes and snowflakes with little skulls in the center. You can be elegant and gothic all at the same time!

The time was drawing near for Him to be home. I was excited, I was nervous but I knew that He'd be pleased with all my hard work. So I settled to my knees and waited.....
