~Merry & Bright~

Hello Loverlies,

This time of year makes me so thankful for my family and my friends. This is our 9th Christmas without my dad so as the holiday fast approaches I think back and remember my memories of him, and the new ones that I have made with my SL Family. WOW. this year has been such a gambit of emotions from happy to sad to happy again, I'm thankful to all those who have shown me the true meaning of family and friendship. So to you, this holiday season may it be Merry & Bright!!!!

The last few months have been an emotional roller coaster. I realize how lucky I am, how blessed to have those around me. I hope they know how much they mean to me, and how often that without their love and their support I would have walked away. Also, I hope those that I have unintentionally hurt know that I never meant to hurt you, and that I am sorry for that. I've decided for my first New Years Resolution I'm going to work on being a better person, a better friend. I'm going to try and stay Merry & Bright, and I'm going to try to be the kind of friend I want my friends to be to me.

As I count my blessings, and am reminded of those that are in my life, blessed. I wanted to go home to my original sponsor. 2 Chez was one of the very first people I approached regarding blogging her items and I feel bad as it's been a long time since I have blogged for Gigi. She does amazing textures, and I love that she's also starting to create more for he maitreya body though I never had issues before, but it is still awesome to watch my sponsors grow and branch out. I can honestly say I'm proud of all my sponsors. Some I have become good friends with, and some I do what I need to do, (hopefully more sometimes!) and get the job done. I treasure my working relationship with my sponsors. Thank you for believing in me and allowing me to feature your items week to week, month to month. Truly, you're amazing. Kristy is a new release from 2 Chez, and it comes with a pair of shoes, and a texture hud. It wasn't to difficult to decided PURPLE for me. Sometimes it's nice to take a break but sometimes it's hard to get back into the groove from said break. I had a wonderful month off from blogging. I missed it, but it was much needed. Not because I was tired of blogging but my body needed me to heal and not sit for long hours of time. So now I feel like a warrior, ready to conquer the world. I feel great, I'm even losing weight which is BONUS!

 2 Chez recently came out with an outfit called Kinsey Brown that I thought was perfect for my warrior princess mentality look, it comes with shoes for slink flat feet, arm warmers, top and skirt IT just looks sexxxxxy. 

The poses that I chose to use are by Image Essentials Poses and Props. I love that Kay Weston does great stands so I can continue to look sexy while taking pictures. It's funny how sometimes she has JUST what I need, when I need it. These poses are mixed up through my blog post. There are two sets that I am using Vintage 1b and Vintage 2b. You can pick up these fabulous fat pack of poses at the Vintage and Cool Fair. The Vintage and Cool Fair is open from August 21st to September 4th. There are so many wonderful creators at this event. I went looking through the shopping guide and muttered about how much money I know I'm going to spend!  Below I'll share with you the vendor pictures of these two great pose packs that I'm using so you can see all that you get!

Every warrior princess needs the perfect hair! Right? So I dug into my collection of new hair and decided that my Rummy hair by Doe was just what I needed to top off my look today. This hair is a gacha that is available at the Fantasy Gacha Carnival. The Fantasy Gacha Carnival runs from August 12th to September 12th so plenty of time to head over and get your fill of fantasy delights! So many awesome awesome things this round. I wanted to show the horn and the back of this beautiful hair by Doe so that you can see what you're getting. The horns aren't removable BUT they do change colors! And as always there are SO many color combos available for this hair. (Vendor pic will be below so you can see!) I promise you will NOT be disappointed! 

The incredibly cool polishes are by Dark Passions, called the Art Deco polishes which were inspired by the 1920's-1940's. I think they're edgy and cool. There are 3 New Exclusive Nail Appliers for this event that work with Slink, Belleza & Maitreya. How cool is that?! You can pick which nails you use them on. It's been a bittersweet few weeks. I had surgery on July 8th and my mom stepped up and helped when her health isn't the best. The song I chose for inspiration is called "I'll Be" By Reba McEntire, something that I hope to be for my own daughter. I want to be their shoulder and be there for them, and well I really haven't been. I'm reminded of a ship in a storm, riding the waves and what guides them home? The lighthouse, the love of family and friends. So when BAMSE sent me this light house necklace for the upcoming Le Petite Faire coming to Honey Briar from July 17th until August 7th , I knew I had to blog it and show off the beauty and be reminded how lighthouses weather all storms that beat against their shores.

Here's the closeup of the :BAMSE: Lighthouse Necklace - I'm wearing it in Silver but it also comes in Black Gold, Copper, Gold and of course Silver. It's also resizeable I made mine a little bit smaller but it is amazing just out of the box too. The creator liamzander has really done a marvelous job of making this charming necklace. In this picture you can actually see the "glow" of the lighthouse but it's not overwhelming if you zoom out meaning it doesn't SHINE out in your face, it's just a neat little secret feature if someone zooms in on you.Will be sold individually or as a fatpack. He does specify that this necklace is Unisex and fits baby/kid/adult and teens but looks better on the adult/teen. It will take some adjusting if you decided to buy it for a baby. It's easily sizable and I'm not very good at this kind of thing so IF I can resize it and make it look good anyone can. lol


Skipping off to the Wayward Carnival that opens July 15th -July 30th - not a very long time at all so hurry hurry hurry and snag all the fantastic goodies that you can find at this wonderful Carnival. I shopped myself broke. (Used all my hair fair money!!!) But I decided there were just things that I had to have. The first thing I snagged was poses.. yeah duh poses because I LOVE POSES! And an lar has done it again and brought me a pose set that I just HAD to own called The Wonderall Series. There are six poses with mirrors to this set. I'm only showcasing a few of these. (All poses in this blog post are by an lar from this pack). The creator of an lar is Katya Valeska, she's one of those pose makers that I usually wind up buying when I see her poses at events just because I admire her work.

I don't usually do "decoration" and home decor blog posts but since I loved this house, and the other items,I thought I would try my hand at adding a little extra touch here and there. Throughout the pictures you'll see a couple of things. [Moani] Jar Candles  by Sway as well as the ring toss by [atooly.home]. I don't think the Moani candles are an exclusive to the event, but they were very pretty and I love candles and things that glow. I thought these were just charming and will fit in many different spots in my home. Today they happened to look good on Trompe Loeil - The Dreaming House that I had picked up at a previous event, but is available in their main store and on markeptlace. I just thought the jars and the ring toss were adorable and I was feeling nostalgic for my childhood. And just remembering what a strength my mom always was and has been for me.

Last but not least we dancing across the grid to My Slink Obsession which runs from July 5 - 22nd where you can snag these fabulous polish by my favorite BCreative Wilde of Dark Passions/Koffin Nails. I am feeling beautiful in this new release from 2 Chez called Leila. It comes with a hud so you can change the colors of the dress. White, yellow, black, pink, lavender, white, red baby blue? It also comes with a beige pair and black pair of wedge sandals. I'm also wearing my Maitreya, I rarely have any trouble wearing 2 Chez clothes with my mesh body so this is uber bonus for me!

I was a little nervous trying to blog another skin sponsor because I tend to stick with the same skin but when I saw some of the skins from 7 Deadly Skins I knew I wanted to try. I went with the skin Debbie. I like how it makes me look youthful but it also brings me very close in looks to my children Libby and Charlie. No outfit is complete without nail polish right? I like to be all prim and proper then deck out my nails with something fun and gothic like. I'm a goth girl wannabe. *chuckles* Even when I try to look goth I just can't do it very well, but when you have creators like BCreative Wilde who make gothic looking polishes well she makes it easy for me to get my Gothic fix and still be me.

Gigi has a new release called Carrie Ann. This outfit comes with boot cut jeans for both HIGH and MID slink feet which is very exciting. You not only get a pair of jeans that fits two styles of slink feet but you get 2 styles of mules (one for high and one for mid feet). You also get a sexy little sweater number to complete this look. All for the low price of 199L. Yes you heard me, 199L for jeans, 2 pairs of shoes AND a sweater. O

h and the jeans? They're hudded so you get 8 kinds of jeans really with this price. Woot. We know how I love my hudded clothes! 

Because the jeans have kind of a bell bottom look to them you couldn't really see the mule shoes so I took a picture of the shoes so you could see how adorable they are and can be worn with other summery type of outfits.

And of course, you can't dress without the RIGHT nail polish right? So I dug out my pretty pagan polish from BCreative Wilde of Dark Passion Nails, painted my nails and my tosies with this! What a week! I got this jacket called Tori about a week or so from my new sponsor [nn] and was like I feel like a rocker chick! I kept having Pat Benear songs playing through my head. (So does that show my age? lolol) I wanted to look fierce because this jacket is just that.. FIERCE! *rawr!!!!* I love the shine of it, I really want to drag this out of SL and shrug it on and just wear it. :) But sadly I can't but I'll love it on SL just the same. I liked this picture I took because you can see the quality of the texturing that the No Name team puts into their designs.

~Give me Love~

Today is Valentines Day. Honestly, I love Valentines Day, I love hearts, and chocolates and flowers. I love how Second Life creators know how to hit the grid hard with wonderful creations to spice up your second life world. Cedric and I are into roleplay. We enjoy setting a scene and going with it. We tend to be para roleplayers. (Those who like to use long wordy paragraphs to explain what's going on.) We build a life out of second life with our roleplays. Our sim reflects this, we have many areas from soft, romantic to sexy and raunchy good fun. Yes we enjoy pose ball sex sue us, lol.

It was nice to settle back today, spend some time together and get some pictures done. Today I'm bringing you some new releases from Image Essentials Poses and Props. These are available at a few different events. The Thrift Shop and With Love Fair. Both amazing events with so many fantastic creators around the grid. Cedric had to lock down my lindens *pouts* but I am always in love with what Kay Weston does.

The first pose is a picnic blanket called Picnic Love. There are 6 snuggle poses in this, you can also change the color of the blanket with just a click. I think this is a great feature. I actually loved the pictures that Cedric took for me today that I'm not even going to edit them. These are all raw shots.

And of course, I was playing with my facial expressions from a hud and Cedric had to snap one of me sticking my tongue out. I love that after all this time we still have so much fun together!
